Renault has introduced the facelifted Kiger in India, with prices starting at ₹6.29 lakh and going up to ₹11.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The top variant is ₹6,000 costlier than the outgoing model. This launch follows closely after the updated Triber MPV and comes just ahead of the festive season, with Renault aiming to boost its sales momentum.
The updated Kiger receives cosmetic changes, including a refreshed front profile, redesigned alloy wheels, and added features inside the cabin. However, mechanically, it remains unchanged from the previous version. The powertrain options are the same, offering a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit. Power outputs stand at 72 bhp and 96 Nm for the naturally aspirated engine, while the turbo variant delivers 100 bhp and 160 Nm of torque.
Transmission options continue to include a five-speed manual, an AMT, and a CVT. Fuel efficiency is rated at 19.83 kmpl for the naturally aspirated model and 20.38 kmpl for the turbo version. Similar to the Triber facelift, the Kiger update focuses on design and features, with no mechanical changes or new engine additions.
