300 dancers are still on strike. They were supposed to participate in the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. But given the situation, there is little chance of them going on strike before the event. As a result, problems arose around the opening ceremony.
The organizers of the Olympics said that 3000 dancers will participate in the opening ceremony. Among them, 300 dancers from the SFA-CGT organization have started a strike. They have raised the demand for inequality in salaries. They claim that 1 lakh 72 thousand rupees are being given as salaries to the policemen and firemen in charge of the Olympics. However, the dancers associated with the inauguration are not being paid enough. They have started a strike as a protest against this inequality.
Entrepreneurs sat in a meeting with the organization on Tuesday. They offered to pay an extra 10,000 rupees there. The dancers rejected that offer. As a result, doubts have arisen around the opening ceremony. Many other workers in France’s private sector have threatened to strike. They claim that they are working for the Olympics during the summer vacation. As a result, they have to pay an additional bonus. If the demand remains unmet, they have also threatened to go on strike.
The Olympics are scheduled to open on July 26 from 9 p.m. Indian time. This is the first time the opening will be in the river. The parade will take place on the river Shane. Preparations are going on for a long time. However, in the meantime, the dancers’ strike has left entrepreneurs worried.
