In a significant victory against the illicit drug trade, Assam Rifles in collaboration with the Special Narcotics Police and CID (Crime) in Aizawl have intercepted a substantial consignment of narcotics. A total of five soap cases containing 61.930 grams of Heroin No. 04, valued at Rs 30,96,500, were seized in the general area of Durtlang Leitan in Aizawl.
This successful operation, conducted based on precise intelligence, led to the apprehension of two individuals involved in the smuggling operation.
The intercepted contraband and the arrested individuals have been handed over to the Special Narcotics Police Station, CID (Crime), Mizoram, Aizawl on 13th February 2024 for further legal proceedings.
