Assam Rifles recovers Meth tablets worth Rs. 61.9 cr

 Acting on a specific input, personnel of Assam Rifles recovered 20.6 kilograms of Methamphetamine tablets worth over Rs. 61.9 crore at Zokhawthar village in east Mizoram’s Champhai district near the Myanmar border, Assam Rifles said in a statement.

 The seizure was made during a special area domination patrol on Sunday, it said.  The statement, however, did not mention the arrest of any person in connection with the seizure.

The seized meth tablets were handed over to the state police on the same day for further legal proceedings, the statement said.
