Assam Rifles seize over a crore in cash and illegal beer, three Myanmar nationals nabbed

In a major crackdown on smuggling operations, a joint effort by Assam Rifles, Hnahlan Police Beat Post, and Customs Preventive Force Champhai led to the seizure of Rs 1,03,97,500 in cash and 136 cases of illegal foreign-origin beer.

The operation, which took place on February 22, 2024, in General Area Murlen, resulted in the arrest of three individuals involved in the illicit activities.

The seized cash and contraband were handed over to the respective authorities for further legal action.
