Royal Global University (RGU) in Assam has introduced special scholarships for the children of Mizoram Police personnel to promote equal access to quality higher education and honour their service. According to Prof. (Dr.) D.N. Singh, two categories have been added—Royal Shaurya, offering full scholarships to families of martyrs and gallantry awardees, and Royal Suraksha, which grants 50% tuition support to children of serving police staff. These apply to courses under AICTE, BCI, PCI, INC, and similar bodies.
Director Utpal Kanta highlighted other schemes like Royal Merit On Admission, EWS scholarships, Royal Endowment for categories such as sports, arts, disability, and single-parent families, and RGU Sports Scholarship, which awards up to 100% support based on performance levels. Additionally, semester toppers across departments receive ₹3,000 monthly to encourage academic excellence.
