Assam’s Uma Chetry etches history

Ahead of Women’s Premier(WPL) League wicket-keeper batter Uma Chetry to join UP Warriorz for the season.

According to the sources, Uma Chetry who is from Assam has replaced Vrinda Dinesh due to the shoulder which was played against the Mumbai Indians in Bangaluru.

Further, Uma has etched her name in history by becoming the first cricketer from the state to be selected for the Indian national team. However, Uma is the second cricketer from Assam to play in the WPL.
