The Labour Employment Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department, in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation International, held an “Awareness Seminar on Caregiver Program in Japan,” focusing on the demand for caregivers in Japan.
In this seminar, Mr. Jin Enamoto, Manager of New Business Development in Asia Pacific, and Mr. Kazunari Honda, Senior Leader of Global Strategy from Sompo Care Inc. Japan discussed the company’s operations and the opportunities for Indian professionals to work as caregivers in Japan, highlighting the requirements and support available for this career path.
The seminar was chaired by Pi Angela Zothanpuii, Director of LESDE. She emphasized the department’s ongoing efforts, including the training of 16 nurses who are already working in Japan. It was also mentioned that more than 40 candidates are currently enrolled in Japanese language training undergoing their training in NSDCI center at Delhi. She emphasized that she had personally visited and witnessed the training centre and accommodation facilities provided. The NSDCI training centers provide comprehensive training, addressing various requirements for those wishing to work in Japan.
Mr. Sunny Kumar, Manager of NSDCI, discussed the interview and admission processes, the importance of Japanese language proficiency, and the availability of skill loans for interested candidates alongwith the support that NSDCI had been giving and will continue to give stressing on free accommodation for North East candidates. He also addresses the queries raised by the attendees of the seminar.
