In preparation for the General Election to Lok Sabha-2024, a ‘Certification Programme’ for Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) was organized at the Aijal Club Conference Hall. The programme was inaugurated by CEO Mizoram, Mr. Madhup Vyas, today.
The Certification Programme for AROs, aimed at facilitating the upcoming Lok Sabha Election, will be held from February 5th to 9th, 2024. During this period, five National Level Master Trainers (NLMT) will provide training on various topics to the AROs, who will subsequently undergo examinations.
The National Level Master Trainers and their respective topics are as follows:
1) Ms. Harishilpa G R, NLMT Karnataka – Qualification & Disqualification, Nomination including instructions on criminal antecedent, Scrutiny of Nomination, Withdrawal of Candidature and Allotment of Symbol
2) Ms. Aishwarya R, NLMT Karnataka – District Election Management Plan, Vulnerability Mapping, Postal Ballot, ETPBS
3) Dr. Sunand K Sinha, NLMT, Arunachal Pradesh – Model Code of Conduct, Paid News and MCMC, SVEEP, Expenditure Monitoring
4) Mr. Remlalliana Hnamte, NLMT Mizoram – EVM-VVPAT Administrative, EVM-VVPAT Hands On, Polling Party and Poll Day arrangement including polling station, Counting & Declaration of Result
5) Mr. Neng Thianlala, NLMT Mizoram – E-Roll, IT Application (Including Nomination, Permission, Poll Day, Counting etc) & ERO-Net, Service Voter Portal, EMS, NGRS, Observer Portal
For the General Election to Lok Sabha -2024, the Aizawl DC will serve as the Returning Officer (RO). Other DCs including Addl. DCs of Aizawl District will act as Assistant Returning Officers (AROs).
