Chief minister inaugurates computerisation of registrar of cooperative societies

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Mizoram, Mr. Lalduhoma, today inaugurated the Computerisation of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) at his office in Aizawl. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that the Government places high priority on making public services simpler, faster, and more accessible for citizens. He noted that within the past two years, several such initiatives have been undertaken and steady progress continues to be made. He reiterated the State Government’s aspiration of making Mizoram a leader in digital services in India.

Highlighting Mizoram’s strengths, the Chief Minister said that being a small state with a relatively small population, Mizoram enjoys high literacy levels and widespread proficiency in the English language, which provide a strong foundation for becoming one of the best-performing states in digital service delivery. He informed that more than 20 online service portals have been launched in the last two years. Recently, the Mizoram CSR Connect Portal was inaugurated, and today marks the launch of the Computerisation of the Cooperation Department.

He emphasized that this initiative will greatly benefit cooperative societies across the State by improving accessibility and efficiency, while also easing the work processes for departmental staff.The Chief Minister expressed his appreciation to the Minister and officials of the Department for completing the project within a short time frame.
