Chief Secretary Dr Renu Sharma chairs Coordination meeting

A Coordination meeting under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary Dr Renu Sharma was held this afternoon at Chief Secretary’s Conference Room, MINECO, Aizawl. The meeting previewed the preparations of the concerned departments to receive and coordinate with the Inter-Ministerial Central Team who are due to inspect  the disaster sites in the states  in the aftermath of Cyclone Remal. After detailing the itinerary Dr Renu Sharma briefed all the concerned head of departments on the specific requirements.

The team of high level officials from Ministry of Agriculture, Finance, Jal Shakti, Road Transportation & Highways and Rural Development will be headed by a Joint Secretary, MHA. The team will arrive on 22nd June 2024 and will spend about 3 or 4 days for sites inspection and meeting with the officials of Government of MIzoram.

The Commissioner & Secretaries representing Home, Finance, PWD and P&E Departments, the Secretaries representing School Education, DM&R, Horticulture, H&FW, ICT, P&PI, Agriculture, PHE, Fisheries, I&WR, I&PR, DC Aizawl and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
