The Education Department today hosted the 13th Chief Minister’s Award felicitation ceremony at Vanapa Hall, Aizawl, to honour the top performers of the Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) 2025 Examinations – HSSLC and HSLC.  Chief Minister Lalduhoma, who presented the awards, underscored the significance of education in unlocking the potential of human resources and called on students to aspire towards higher education and research. Education Minister Dr Vanlalthlana attended as the Guest of Honour.

In his address, the Chief Minister said the award is a recognition of excellence and a token of the government’s encouragement for young achievers. He emphasised that Mizoram’s reputation as one of the most literate states must be matched by visible progress and productivity.

Calling for a greater focus on science and research, the Chief Minister noted the shortage of scientists and researchers in the state. He also cautioned students against the excessive use of smartphones and social media, warning that digital distractions could undermine real achievements. “Success is not about just ‘clicking’ – it is about real hard work,” he said.
