Cultural Extravaganza as Bharat Rang Mahotsav Held in Aizawl

The ’25th Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2026′ took place at Vanapa Hall, Aizawl, organized jointly by the National School of Drama (NSD) and the Art & Culture Department of the Government of Mizoram. Chief Guest Carol V.L.M.S. Dawngkimi commended the collaboration and outlined the department’s commitment to enhancing training in Drama, Folk Arts, and Music through the Institute of Music & Fine Arts (IMFA), encouraging participation from students. Shantanu Bose, Dean of NSD, highlighted Mizoram’s rich cultural heritage and the festival’s role in preserving and promoting local traditions. Inaugurated on January 28, 2026, in Delhi, the festival aims to reach all States and Union Territories and extend internationally across five continents. The event featured NSD’s presentation of ‘Macbeth – Flesh’ and local performances by Chawngmawii and Hrangchhuana, engaging school students, teachers, and IMFA alumni.
