At the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2024, The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT) program by Reckitt took center stage, driving impactful conversations about essential life skills. With over 30,000 daily visitors, TBBT’s Health Pavilion became a hub for education on topics like Inclusion, Consent, Protection, Awareness, and Equity.
The festival’s graffiti competition, showcasing local talent from Assam, Meghalaya, and West Bengal, added a creative touch to the initiative, with Shembhalang Thawbroi from East Khasi Hills emerging as the winner for his portrayal of Protection. In terms of industry impact, the success of TBBT at the festival signals a growing market for youth-focused health and education initiatives across Northeast India. In Aizawl, there’s a noticeable shift toward greater youth engagement in health and wellness programs.
As local businesses in Aizawl continue to see increased demand for educational products, services, and creative outlets that align with social causes, the TBBT program provides a model for integrating meaningful, youth-centric content into mainstream offerings. Gaurav Jain, EVP, Reckitt – South Asia, noted, “TBBT continues to set the stage for meaningful, interactive youth education, positioning Reckitt at the forefront of empowering the next generation with the right skills and values.”
