Durex TBBT partners with local authorities to empower youth on 38th Statehood Day in northeast India

Marking the 38th Statehood Day celebrations in Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, Durex The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT) joined forces with district administrations to champion youth empowerment through a pioneering life skills initiative. The event, orchestrated in conjunction with local authorities in Durtlang, Mizoram, and Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, underlined the company’s commitment to societal engagement and holistic education.

Distinguished guests, including C R Khampa, Deputy Commissioner of Namsai District, and TBBT state leads Ashim Nicholas Kawah and Letkhogin Mate, lent their expertise to the occasion, emphasizing the significance of equipping youth with essential life skills.

The program, hosted at APIL General Ground Namsai and Aizawl Special Home, showcased a spectrum of educational activities tailored to enlighten adolescents on critical issues such as consent, protection, and inclusion. Highlighting the day’s agenda were thought-provoking skit performances by students from Arunachal University, addressing prevalent societal challenges like child marriage, abuse, and menstrual health. Ravi Bhatnagar, Director of External Affairs and Partnerships at SOA, Reckitt, lauded the initiative as a testament to Durex TBBT’s unwavering dedication to fostering societal well-being and empowering the next generation of leaders.
