Good Friday observed with Solemnity and Religious Fervour Across the State

In the Christian dominated state of Mizoram, Good Friday is being observed in all parts of the State with all solemnity and religious fervour. Large number of people attended the special Good Friday mass. Christian faithfuls were engaging in church service, offering prayers, worshiping and singing gospel hymns.

Believers of Christian faith observe Good Friday every year to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death on Calvary. According to Biblical teaching, Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross in 33 AD during the governorship of Pontius Pilate to save mankind from all sins, thus restoring relationship with God.

“Marking the significance of Good Friday, religious processions carrying the Cross were taken out on the roads in various parts of the State to mark the importance of the occasion.
