Government committed to fair probe of paper leak and strict action, says President Murmu

The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha began, President Droupadi Murmu addressed the joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

Addressing the 18th Lok Sabha for the first time, President Draupadi Murmu addressed recent NEET-UG paper leak incident.

She said, “If due to any reason there is obstruction in examinations it is not appropriate. Sanctity, transparency are a must in government recruitments and examinations. The government is committed to conduct fair investigation and ensure the most stringent punishment to those guilty in the recent incidents of paper leak.”

Additionally, the President also congratulated the newly elected MPs of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) formation and Election Commission for successfully conducting Lok Sabha election, 2024.
