New Delhi, May 12: Guar-seed prices rose by Rs 42 to Rs 5,031 per quintal in futures trade on Monday as speculators increased their positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.
Guarseed contract for June delivery on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange rose by Rs 42, or 0.83 percent, to Rs 5,031 per quintal, with an open interest of 50,080 lots.
According to market sources, guarseed prices rose mainly due to speculators increasing their positions, a firm trend in the spot market and lower supplies from producing regions.
