Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd, India’s leading waste management company, has joined forces with the Mizoram Pollution Control Board (MPCB) to successfully host the E-Waste Management Summit 2024 in Aizawl. The summit convened key stakeholders to explore pressing e-waste challenges and innovative recycling strategies in North Eastern India.
Notable attendees included Pu Joseph H. Lalramsanga, Commissioner of AMC, and Pu Liankima Lailung, Chairman of MPCB, who underscored the significance of collaborative efforts in addressing e-waste issues. “This summit marks a significant step toward effective e-waste management in the region,” stated Lailung. Nandan Mall, Founder and Managing Director of Hulladek, highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainable waste solutions and announced the introduction of an e-waste collection bin at the MPCB office.
Mizoram PCB Chairman said “Hulladek Recycling is the first company to put their heart and soul into solving North East’s waste problems. If we do not support them we might not get any opportunity to save our state’s environment for the future.”
The agenda covered vital topics such as the current e-waste landscape, implementation of new regulations, and Hulladek’s initiatives in the region. Additionally, plans were revealed for expanding waste management to include automotive catalytic converters and lithium-ion batteries. The summit aimed to foster partnerships among government, corporate leaders, and environmental advocates to drive sustainable practices forward.
