After defeating the West Indies handily in the third and final Test at Mount Maunganui, New Zealand moved up to second place in the ICC World Test Championship standings. With only Australia ahead of them in the WTC standings, New Zealand’s resounding victory moved them above South Africa. In the middle of next year, New Zealand will play England in a three-match World Test Championship series. The West Indies, on the other hand, are still in ninth place in the standings and will play a series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka at home the following year.
