Following an unprecedented surge in public interest and a record-breaking turnout of nearly 250,000 visitors, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has officially extended the India AI Impact Summit Expo at Bharat Mandapam by an additional day. Originally scheduled to conclude sooner, the exhibition will now remain open through Saturday, February 21, 2026. This decision, announced by IT Secretary S. Krishnan on Wednesday, aims to accommodate the massive enthusiasm from students, tech enthusiasts, and startups who have flocked to New Delhi to witness the latest advancements in artificial intelligence. To further manage the crowd and ensure a seamless experience, daily visiting hours have also been extended until 8:00 PM.
The schedule adjustment also addresses a temporary suspension of public access on Thursday, February 19, which is reserved for high-level security protocols and restricted-entry events, including a plenary address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and meetings with global tech CEOs like Sundar Pichai and Sam Altman. The expo will reopen to the general public on Friday, February 20, at 11:00 AM before heading into the newly added Saturday session. Officials have noted that this extension is a direct response to the summit’s massive success, which recently included a Guinness World Record for the highest number of student pledges for responsible AI. Visitors are encouraged to use Gate 10 via the Metro for entry and Gate 4 for vehicle drop-offs as the summit transitions into its final, high-impact days
