India lost the FIBA Asia Cup for the second time in a row

Here, the Indian men’s basketball team suffered their second consecutive defeat in Group C of the FIBA Asia Cup, falling to China 69-100. Sahaij Sekhon led India with 14 points, while Mingxuan Hu and Jiayi Zhao led China with 17 points each. However, China promptly grabbed control of the game with a 12-point run before India tried to rally and lost 29–14 at the end of the first quarter. China outscored India in the second quarter and led 53-31 at the half. China, the 16-time champions, defeated India convincingly in the final two quarters to remain undefeated in Group C after winning their opening match against Saudi Arabia.
