INDIAWOOD 2026, scheduled from February 26 to March 2 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru, is expected to provide a comprehensive snapshot of growth, technology adoption and global integration within India’s woodworking and furniture manufacturing industry. Organised by NürnbergMesse India and supported by EUMABOIS, the 26th edition will be the largest in the event’s history.
According to industry estimates reflected in the exhibition’s scale, over 1,000 brands from more than 50 countries will participate, with expected attendance exceeding 90,000 industry professionals. The exhibition footprint has expanded to 85,000 square metres, registering a 15 per cent increase over the previous edition and signalling sustained global confidence in India’s manufacturing capabilities under the Viksit Bharat framework.
Industry outlook has been further strengthened by progress on the India–EU Free Trade Agreement, described by policymakers as the “mother of all deals”. The agreement is expected to reduce tariffs, enhance access to European markets for engineered wood products, and facilitate inflows of advanced machinery and industrial inputs.
INDIAWOOD 2026 will highlight key industry trends, including automation-led and Industry 4.0 manufacturing, advanced CNC processing, compact production systems, sustainable materials, and certified low-emission solutions. Knowledge platforms such as Wood+ in Architecture & Design and the co-located India Mattresstech & Upholstery Supplies Expo reinforce the sector’s integrated ecosystem, supporting a furniture market projected to reach USD 40 billion by 2030.
