Indra Sena Reddy Nallu to take additional charge of Mizoram governor

Tripura state governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, who has been appointed to take additional charge of Mizoram governor, will be sworn-in at Raj Bhavan in Aizawl on Monday, state protocol & hospitality officials said on Sunday. Gauhati high court judge justice Nelson, on behalf of the chief justice of Gauhati high court, will administer the oath of office to Nallu at 10 AM. A press communique issued on Thursday by Rashtrapati Bhavan on behalf of President Droupadi Murmu appointed Tripura governor to take additional charge of the governor of Mizoram during indisposition of the state governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati.

Nallu, who arrived at the lone Lengpui airport was accorded guard of honour at the airport and was received by state chief minister Lalduhoma and some of his cabinet collegues, chief secretary Renu Sharma, DGP, DIG sector 23 Assam Rifles and senior officials. Kambhampati was admitted to theStar Hospitals in Hyderabad on September 9 following a five-day fever, Aizawl RajBhavan sources, quoting Star Hospitals officials, said.

Doctors said that Kambhampati underwent a thorough evaluation by a medical team at Star hospitals, with initial investigations indicating a lung infection. He wasimmediately transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close monitoring andtreatment. Currently, he is receiving broad-spectrum antibiotics and othernecessary medications under the expert care of a multidisciplinary team, the doctors said.
