Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan, Director General (DG) Border Roads had a courtesy meeting with Mizoram Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati at the Raj Bhavan, this evening. In this courtesy meeting, Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan briefed the Governor about the achievements made by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in the construction of several border roads within the state. He also apprised the Governor about the progress made by BRO on the ongoing works.
Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati thanked the BROs under the aegis of Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan, DG Border Roads, for creating important road infrastructures in the border and remote areas within Mizoram. He also inquired about various aspects of border fencing including construction and maintenance. Apart from the report about works in Mizoram, DG BRO also informed the Governor about the success of the BRO in completing several challenging projects consisting of construction of tunnels and bridges across difficult terrains in the mountainous regions of the country.
In this area, he also offered the willingness of the BRO to extend support if the state requires their expertise. Chief Engineer of Project Pushpak, SP Kolipey along with his officers and staffs also attended this courtesy meeting.
