Bharat NCAP has crash tested the Maruti Suzuki Invicto, awarding it a 5-star safety rating. The MPV scored 30.43 out of 32 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45 out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection (COP). This makes the Invicto the fourth Maruti Suzuki model tested by Bharat NCAP, after the Dzire, Baleno, and Victoris. The Invicto’s high rating is supported by its comprehensive safety features.
Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, a rearview camera, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Control, and an emergency SOS call button. It also has seatbelt reminders, ISOFIX child seat mounts, front and rear disc brakes, and a speed warning buzzer. The top Alpha+ variant adds a 360-degree parking camera, front parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring, auto-dimming IRVM, rear window defogger, and an anti-theft system.
The MPV excelled in crash tests, performing well in frontal, side impact, and side pole tests. It achieved a perfect dynamic score for child safety and features ISOFIX anchors with i-Size compatibility and an airbag cut-off switch. Tested variants included the Alpha+ 7-seater and Zeta+ 8-seater, both based on Maruti Suzuki’s 2.0L CVT hybrid platform.
