The Medicity has been ranked India’s No. 1 hospital in Newsweek’s ‘World’s Best Hospitals 2026’ rankings, conducted in partnership with Statista Inc.. The recognition marks the seventh consecutive year the institution has featured among the world’s leading hospitals, underscoring its sustained commitment to quality, ethics and patient welfare. The 2026 assessment evaluated over 2,500 hospitals across 32 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Australia, Canada and Singapore. The ranking framework incorporated recommendations from thousands of medical experts, patient experience data, hospital quality metrics and a Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Implementation Survey, ensuring a transparent and patient-focused evaluation.
Operated by Global Health Limited, Medanta continues to invest in artificial intelligence, robotics and automation to enhance clinical outcomes while advancing research and expanding access to high-quality healthcare.
Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Naresh Trehan said the recognition reflects the institution’s guiding philosophy, “Har Ek Jaan Anmol,” meaning every life is invaluable, and its mission to make world-class care accessible to all. Founded by Dr. Trehan, a Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri and Dr. B.C. Roy Award recipient, Global Health Limited operates six hospitals with 3,579 installed beds and has four upcoming facilities in Mumbai, Pitampura (New Delhi), South Delhi and Guwahati, delivering care across more than 30 specialties with over 2,300 doctors.
