Mizoram chief minister Lalduhoma will participate in the Niti Ayog meeting to be held in Delhi on Saturday, an official in the Chief Minister Office (CMO) said on Friday. Lalduhoma’s decision to participate in the meeting comes amidst chief ministers of several opposition ruled states boycotting the meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The official said that Lalduhoma left for New Delhi on Friday afternoon. The chief minister is expected to present issues related to the state’s financial needs in the meeting, he said. The ruling Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) government headed by Lalduhoma is neither an alliance of the BJP led NDA nor a member of INDIA bloc.
The party chose to remain neutral or an independent and said that it will back or oppose the government on issue-based.
