On Friday evening, Mizoram Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh and First Lady Bharti Singh hosted a Christmas Carol Service at Lok Bhavan for the Aizawl West-I Area Masihi Sangati of the Mizoram Presbyterian Church. General Singh described Christmas as a universally cherished festival that encourages compassion, empathy, and selfless service, embodying the Mizo value of Tlawmngaihna. He expressed hope for peace, tranquility, and unity during the season. Rev. Lalhunthara delivered a message as the congregation, joined by the Standing Choir, sang Christmas carols. The congregation presented gifts to the Governor and First Lady, who reciprocated their appreciation with gifts in return.
