Mizoram will upgrade its medical college and establish a state university

On Good Governance Day, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh unveiled the State Transport Department’s Faceless/Contactless Service Program. The goal of this new project is to improve the accessibility, effectiveness, and openness of public transportation services throughout the state. Speaking at the Imphal Chief Minister’s Secretariat, CM Singh emphasized the value of sound governance and urged residents and government representatives to work together for advancement. In recognition of the late Prime Minister’s outstanding services to the country, he also unveiled a book called A Tribute to Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bharat Ratna on Centenary Birth Anniversary during the ceremony.

Meanwhile, more than 1,200 patients in Siliguri who were afflicted with a variety of ailments were successfully treated with free operations earlier this week thanks to Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay’s flagship healthcare program, the “Garib Jan Kalyan Prakosta.” There are no longer any expenses for patients traveling from Sikkim to Siliguri for kidney stone and gallbladder procedures. The entire cost of the procedure, including the attendant’s lodging and medication, will be covered by the Prakosta.

Two dedicated SNT buses were used to transport kidney stone patients to Siliguri when the service was first introduced. There were 32 patients in all, 22 of whom had gallbladder stones and 10 of whom had kidney stones. Similarly, as part of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program, the District Health Services of Kokrajhar in Assam initiated a 100-day intensive campaign as a major step to eradicate tuberculosis. The program supports the ambitious goal of the Indian government to eradicate tuberculosis and declare the nation TB-free by 2025.
