The General Election to the Lok Sabha, 2024, held on April 19 from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, saw a lower voter turnout compared to previous elections, according to data from the Election Commission of India (ECI) Voter Turnout Portal. As of 5 PM, the voter turnout stood at 56.68%, marking a decline from the 63% recorded in the 2019 General Election to the Lok Sabha. Mizoram, known for its lower turnout in parliamentary elections compared to Legislative Assembly elections, witnessed efforts by the election department to boost voter participation.
