Mizoram’s 728 villages are now linked to tap water as part of the Jal Jeevan Mission

Aizawl: The state assembly was notified on Friday that the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) of the Center now encompasses all 728 villages in Mizoram.

In the February 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Mission, which aims to supply all rural Indian homes by 2024 with clean and sufficient drinking water through individual tap connections.
Aizawl: The state assembly was notified on Friday that the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) of the Center now encompasses all 728 villages in Mizoram.

The JJM, which was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019, aims to supply all rural Indian families with sufficient fresh water for drinking through individualized tap links in 2024.

The central plan covers all 728 villages, according to Public Health Engineering Minister Professor Lalnilawma in response to a query. According to him, of the state’s 728 villages, 621 had the program completely completed, while 107 had it just partially executed.
