Four persons, including one Myanmarese national, have been arrested with drugs worth Rs 31 crore in separate operations conducted near the Indo-Myanmar border in Mizoram. The operations were carried out by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) along with State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) Mizoram and State Excise and Narcotics Department. During the operation, 36.434 kg of methamphetamine and 905 grams of heroin were seized in three coordinated operations at different locations along the Myanmar border. The NCB has urged citizens to report narcotics-related information through the MANAS Helpline (toll-free: 1933) and said that informers’ identities will be kept confidential.
