MZP President reaffirms commitment to education and nationalism

Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) President Dr. C. Lalremruata defended the student body against what he described as baseless attacks and harsh comments made by individuals unfamiliar with the organisation.

Speaking at MZP’s 90th Anniversary Celebration at the I&PR Auditorium, Dr. Lalremruata said many critics, some of whom have close ties with non-Mizos and benefit financially from such connections, have never read the MZP constitution. He urged detractors to understand the organisation from within rather than judging it from outside.

Emphasising MZP’s dual mission, Dr. Lalremruata stated that the organisation must remain committed to both education and nationalism. “Learning and nationalism are the core principles of MZP,” he said, calling on members to give their best efforts to ensure the organisation’s continued growth and progress.
