In the last 24 hours, security forces have effectively supported the safe movement of 172 vehicles on National Highway-37 (NH-37) and 169 vehicles on National Highway-2 (NH-2), all carrying critical supplies. To ensure seamless and secure transportation, extensive security measures were implemented, particularly in susceptible places along both roadways. Additional security convoys were deployed to protect vehicles moving through vulnerable areas, ensuring uninterrupted passage.

A total of 110 checkpoints have been placed throughout Manipur’s hill and valley regions to ensure security. However, no one was jailed for breaches during this time, indicating that the region was mostly peaceful and compliant. To avoid additional instability in the region, authorities are requesting that looted weaponry, ammunition, and explosives be returned to the nearest security forces or police stations as soon as possible. This coordinated effort demonstrates the authorities’ continuous commitment to guaranteeing public safety and the uninterrupted supply of basic supplies throughout Manipur.
