In an ongoing effort to promote environmental sustainability and community engagement, Assam Rifles conducted a water conservation awareness session at Lungpuk-III village in Siaha district on April 17, 2025. The initiative is part of the force’s commitment to addressing local environmental challenges and encouraging sustainable practices in the region.
The session was attended by 25 villagers and 12 Assam Rifles personnel, where they discussed practical water conservation measures such as rainwater harvesting, fixing household leaks, minimizing water wastage, and reusing water efficiently. The lecture also emphasized the importance of planting native trees and taking collective action to preserve water resources.
