Samsung India has announced the winners of the ‘Solve for Tomorrow 2024’ competition, recognizing outstanding innovations aimed at addressing critical societal issues. Team Eco Tech Innovator from Golaghat, Assam, was awarded the Community Champion title in the School Track for their innovative approach to ensuring equitable access to potable water, receiving a grant of INR 25 lakh for prototype advancement. Meanwhile, Team METAL from Udupi, Karnataka, secured the Environment Champion award in the Youth Track for their technology designed for arsenic removal from groundwater, earning INR 50 lakh for incubation at IIT-Delhi.
In Aizawl to the primary awards, two teams from both tracks were honored with the Goodwill Award, each receiving INR 1 lakh. Another two teams were recognized as Social Media Champions, winning INR 50,000 each for their impactful social media contributions.
JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, praised the young innovators, stating, “We aim to empower young minds to address pressing challenges in their communities through our flagship CSR initiative.” The competition, which encourages innovative solutions, engaged participants from across India, highlighting the potential of youth to effect meaningful change through technology.
